Daniel Turko/ 2-6-06/3-2/........Turn It in & a Documentary

I. In the movie Michael Moore Hates America, Mooe is asked if he will do an interview for the movie. Moore then says that he only appears in his own movies. Though, Michael Moore lied because he has appeared in several movies that were not his, i.e. Fever Pitch. So Moore lied.

II. Today we started off by going over the Turnitin.com accounts we created and we talked about how the web site would be used. The internet site will be used for us to turn in our assignments and homework over the internet. We then took turns in our groups accessing our accounts and completing a trial assignment. We just typed a random paper to Mr. Couillard using the site to see if it worked properly. After that we watched one of the classes' documentaries. It was Michael and Kevin's documentary. It was actually a mockumentary about a boy band going through stardom and downfall. We did not finish it though. So far, it is hillarious.

III. I learned today that the Turnitin.com web site has a special feature. It can check your assignments to track down any plaigirism. I thought it was kinda neat.

IV. I wonder how Kevin and Michael really interviewed the random people that were in their movie. I wonder when they asked them when the people were sayin it was horrible (reffering to incidents in The Rising Tides).

V. One thing this class prompted me to think about was the increasing use of the internet in our assignments. I think the turnitin.com is a cool service, but I also think some students will abuse it. I think they will make up excuses like, "My internet broke," in order to escape completing assignments.
