Not Again!!!!!!!!!.....3-22/ April 6

I. Today, they are still no inhabitants of Bikini Atoll because it is still radioactive and unhealthy to live on

II. We started off by giving Mr Couillard are debate briefs. Me and Hunter did not really know what exactly was suppoised to be in the briefs. Then we began to watch a new movie. It was called The Persuaders. We actually watched it in communications last year. It just shows ways to market and gain clientelle.

III. I found out that some people actually have the job of analyzing clients on their feelings about products

IV. N/A

V. I do not like The Persuaders because I think it is a bunch of hogwash bullshi'ite. I do not think it is posdsible for some random person to analyze people and find out what clients want.

VI. JOURNAL AND DEBATE AND SPRING BREAKAGE

Discussion....3-21/ April 4

I. The guy who kinda looked like the hulk died die shorty after being interviewed in the movie

II. Since our homework was to finish the questions on Radio Bikini, we had a discussion and whiteboarded Radio Bikini questions. The main discussion was how many people felt that the natives of bikini were not fully informed on what was happening with the bombing of Bikini Atoll.

III. I learned that many Bikini people are upset that they could not go back to Bikini

IV. I want to know what the current state of Bikini is like today

V. I feel that the people of Bikini were tricked by the US. I think they were not aware that they were being moved permanently, so they cooperated.

More Debates!!!!!!!.....3-20/ March 30

I. Bikini Atoll is a part of the Marshalll Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean

II. Today we finished watching the Radio Bikini movie. In the end of the movie it shows how the military soldiers went swimming in the infected water and how many got sick. It even showed this one guy whose hands got huge because of the radiation in the water, and he looked like the Hulk. The testing at Bikini Atoll harmed many people. Also, today we picked groups for debates that we will be doing. My debate partner is Hunter and we are going against harrison, michael, and steven on the use of military intervention in Iran. Yipeee!

III. I learned that if you swim in water where a nuke was dropped, you can get many serious edical problems, like enlarged body parts.

IV. I want to know if that guy with the enlarged body parts died soon thereafter

V. I feel that the military should have been more cautious with the soldiers around the testing area. The military should have keep all soldiers at a safe distance away from the bomb site.

BIKINI!!!...3-19/ March 28

I. Each bombing of a city killed around 250,000 people instantly, and many others later.

II. Today we started watching another moving dealing with nuclear weapons called Radio Bikini. This movie shows the process of the US taking the island of Bikini Atoll to use for weapons testing. Some issues involved are ethics of moving the native Bikinians.

III. I nevr knew that the US tested their nuclear weapons on some island in the pacific ocean

IV. I want to know where exactly Bikini Atoll is.

V. I feel that the idea of the US taking the island of Bkini Atoll for weapons testing is a bit sketchy. I do not think people would just easily hand over their land to be destroyed.

JAPAN!!!!!!!.....3-18/ March 24

I. I could not find the cost of the old bomb shelters, but i'm guessing that were not too easy for normal people to come by

II. Today in class we debated whether or not a atomic bomb should have been dropped on Japan. In the class, you had a big rift in opinions. Some felt it was bad because it killed too many innocent people, and some felt it was ok, because it quickly ended the war and avoided many more people from being killed.

III. Ilearned that a bunch of people were against the idea of bombing Japan with the Atomic Bomb.

IV. I want to know how many people each bombing killed.

V. i personally feel that the US should have dropped an atomic bomb on the nation of Japan. It was good that the war was ended very quickly and that many soldiers avoided heavy combat in Japan.

Atomic Cafe Part Zwei......3-17/ March 22

I. Many of the bombs were still tested in the desert area around trinity, and later they used Bikini Atoll to test nuclear weapons.

II. Like last class we continued to watch the Atomic Cafe movie and then discussed it. In the video today they showed things like how kids wore biological protection suits and how they had these big drill for bombing. In the discussion we talked mainly about the ethics in the use of the Atomic Bomb. It was wishy washy whether or not dropping and using Atomic bombs is ethical.

III. I learned today that people had access to those yellow sweet biological suits.

IV. I would like to know how much those bomb shelters cost to build

V. I feel that the 50s would have been a crazy time to live in. I think the US was way too paranoid about being bombed by Russia with nuclear weapons, and by communism, that they did not live enough.

Atomic Cafe....3-16/ March 20

I. We are now beginning a section on atomic weapons and things of that nature.

II. Today we were able to move on from the boring technology unit. We started watching a movie called Atomic Cafe. The whole jist of this movie is to describe the atomic bomb, how it was used, how it was tested, and the effect it had on the world. MAuch of the movie focuses on the bombing of japan and the following years of the 1950s.

III. I found it interesting how the A-bomb had such a huge impact on the culture of the 1950s.

IV. I want to know wheree A-bombs were later tested after trinity.

V. I feel that it was right for the US to have dropped the atomic bomb on Japan. It seemed as if the only way Japan would unconditionally surrender would be if they were attacked and defeated in Japan, which would kill many people, or bomb Japan.

Tech can shoot me.....3-15/ March 16

I. Itn actually seems like google is planning on a complete expansion.

II. You know?!?!? I am really hgetting bored with talking about this technology topic. I think we should move on. It is definitely time for a curveball in our lesson plan.

III. I learned that technology is a hassle becuz i have to learn about it.

IV. I want to know wht our ext topic will be

V. I would like say my opinion is clear like in above, i object to this technology section, and we should mos' def' move on!

Video on Techy....3-14/ March 14

I. Unfortunately, the furby, my favorite childhood toy, is no longer in production.

II. Today in the bestest class ever we began by watching this video that explained the possible expansion of technology in the near and undistant future. This video showed things like how google will basically completely expand and have any ype of service available. Then it showed things like how in the future, e-mails and other info will be completely personalized.

III. I learned that google has its own bidding site called froogle.

IV. I would like to know if google really plans to completely expand.

V. I feel that the whole expansion idea of the technology is very crazy and kinda cool. With new technology, you could basicaslly find anything you need, but at the same time, personal infois impeded on.

Furbys Kik Bootay!.....3-13/ March 10

I. I feel that the biggest con of technology is also one of the biggest pros. Technology allows people to contact others anywhere in the world, but this could prevent people from going around the world and seeing all its beauty.

II. In today's class discussion was focused of different types of technology. We discussed which types of technology are important and which types are just dumb and pointless. Some of the things found important were the telephone, cpu, and tv. Phones are important because you can easily keep in touch with family, friends, and emergencies. The computer and tv give you the ability to see information about things going on in the world and also entertain. Dumb things were like furbys and slinkys. Both items were pointless in the fact that they did not help you at all. For example, a slinky just goes down stairs and furbys talk their stupid gibberish language.

III. I learned that much of the technology available on the market is needless. There are actually very few things you need to live a decent in-touch life.

IV. I would like to know if furbys are still made.

V. I feel that the frivulous trivial technolgies are good for the people. These little pointless technologies are the means by which people are kept busy and out of trouble.

Pros and Cons....3-12/March 8

I. I guess the things that robots would excrete would include: nuts, bots, screws, smoke, apple juice, feces, battery fluid, oil, and gasolina

II. Today in class we kept along with discussing technology and ethics. The main focus of today was to discuss pros and cons of developing different types of technology. We discussed how like it makes work easier, but at the same time it takes jobs. Or it makes buying on internet easier, but you can also have all your personal information stolen. Basically, it is up to you whether to go with technology because all the pros and cons cancel out.

III. I learned today that you can be on some list that prevents you from gettingt annoying junk emails from businesses.

IV. I wonder what the biggest con of technology is?

V. I feel that in the future, the world needs to use the technology very carefully because if we depend to much on technology, we would be in trouble if it starts to become inoperable.

Robots AGAIN!!!!!!!.....3-11/ March 6

I. I found out that the robotics team did pretty decent and they even got this cool little glass trophy

II. First we started out class with Mr Couillard talking about his weekend at the robotics competition. The team did pretty good but got beat by Midlo and some flappy headed canadian team. He showed us all these cool pictures of the competition, and he showed us pics of the great hank west. Then we went on to a discussion of robot ethics. We had a discussion and whiteboarded our wksht questions. The discussion consisted of questions like should robots excrete "stuff" or should they be used militarily. It was a very interewsting discussion.

III. I learned that I think robots are dumb especially if they are going to be excreting byproductrs on my earth!

IV. I want to know type of byproducts robots could excrete.

V. I feel that there should be loimits placed on the deevelopment of robots. I feel that robots could make humans lazier, then take all the human's jobs, and fiinally as a last part of their plan, try for world domination. But then I will be there to lead a revolution and I will become known as the hero who defeated the robots.

Robots Baby!!!!....3-10/ March 2

I. I know that many tutors run between 25 to 50 bucks per hour and that in most places, free tutoring is available by volunteers.

II. Today i almost cried because my dear ol' Coolyard was absent...but he had a valid replacement. Coolyard was at some synergy robot competiotion at VCU, where I am planning to go as a robot rowdy. The substitute was the Rileynator, aka Mr. Riley the slacker. All he did the whole time was do Su-Doku puzzles (lololol!), but at least he let us do watever. Our day's assignment wat to use cpu's to research these robot ethics things. Me Steven hunter and kate all worked toghether, got it done fast, i did my hw, and slrpt for an hour.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

III. I learned that if you ever want to have it easy...be a substitute and do Su-Doku all day....jkjkjkjk!

IV. I want to know how the robotics team did in the VCU competition.

V. After studying robot ethics today, I feel that robots are things that should be monitored closely because if they get 2 smart, they will take over the whole world!

Cheating as Usual...3-9/February 28

I. Well, lets see, a buttload of kids cheat

II. We just talked more concerning that case study and what is cheating when it comes to that college guy writing the paper with his tutor. We whiteboarded all that shiath. Then we had that strong discussion about the competition between cheaters and non-cheaters.

III. I learned that some people in my class do not let others have turns to speak... cough!

IV. I want to know what a tutor costs.

V. I feel that people should just ignore stupid cheaters because as long as you do your best, who cares what stupid cheating biatches are doing. Your best should carry huge integrity. Also, I feel that many of the kids in class are hypocrits, because they talk crap about cheating, when all they ever do is cheat. Gosh darn hypocrits!
